Since 1992 Fantauzzo family continues the tradition of Sicilian liqueurs (made with fruits) and realizes exclusive and refined bottles, which are hand painted by artisans and local artists.

Limoncello
The first description of lemon appears on Arabic writings of XII century, but it was introduced from India two centuries before.
Its etymology derives from Persian (Limu).
Lemon is very rich of vitamin, above all vitamin C (0,5 grams/liter) and the rind can roughly reach 40% of its total weight.
In our country, the lemon tree is mainly cultivated in Southern Italy (Sicily for example) where the climate is favourable and furthermore this plant produces fruits twice a year.
Lemons have several culinary uses, for example the production of liqueurs or liqueur creams. Our Limoncello is obtained from the infusion of fresh lemon rinds, carefully selected and gathered in Sicilian gardens.
Eventual residues on the bottom don’t prejudice the quality of the product but demonstrate goodness and its totally absence of preservatives.
Limoncello “Il Faro“ has to be served chilled, better in a chilled glass.
